This morning might have been one of the first times I’ve had the pleasure of waking Seamus up. I did a little “First day of school! First day of school!” bounce on his bed a la Finding Nemo. It was still dark at 6:50 when we stepped outside for a few pictures.
I thought it would be fun to have Seamus write his name so that over the years, we can see how it changes. Right now he’s an all capital letter guy.
I bought Seamus silly bands yesterday on a whim. They’re colored rubber bands that hold a shape – his are sea creatures. Really they’re just a bizarre kid trend that he was SO HAPPY to be a part of. I had no idea.
At Kindergarten open house, Seamus’s teacher had him practice the call-and-response (with bobcat paw hand sign) that teachers at Pease do to get the students’ attention. Pease! Bobcats! Pease! Bobcats!
Seamus saw a Batman backpack in the Pottery Barn catalog. Unfortunately, the moms who have their stuff together ordered theirs so early that the Batman backpacks are backordered until November. Good thing I told him yes before I checked. Whoops. My solution: a Lands’ End backpack plus iron-on Batman patch from eBay. Not bad.
