I live in South Austin with my husband, our three kids, my three chickens, and our old dog, Roo, who has been with us from the beginning. I'm often frazzled but rarely bored.

I love good books, lively conversation, Ruta Maya coffee, eating out, happy hour, my friends, photography, and my wild family.

A little extra insight from the two who can talk:
"You always say I'm tired and you're always incorrect." (Seamus, at age 5)
"Don't sing, Mom. You are not a[n] animal rescuer." (Finn, at age 2)

I’ve been messing around with this purty new blog for weeks now. Seriously. Weeks. These templates really are very straightforward and I’m really not a perfectionist so I’m not sure why it took so long. I still have some tweaking to do but I’m guessing that my mom and I will be the only two that notice.

That said, I’m SO happy to finally have it in a good enough state to post the sneak peeks from this morning’s session with Rhonda and her boys! We met at the fountains and played around until we were all drenched from the humidity (relatively pleasant weather compared to the 106 degrees a few days ago). The rain held off for the session and then it poured for a few hours while Finn snoozed away and I edited, barely stopping to breathe or check facebook. I know, I’m a hard worker!

Rhonda – I hope you like them. It was great seeing you.
